Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Beitragseinreichung

Sämtliche Manuskripte müssen online über diese Website eingereicht werden. Für den Review-Prozess akzeptieren Beiträge in Openoffice, Microsoft Word  oder  RTF. Das endgültige Dokument muss in Word-Format sein.

Einreichungen für SOCIENCE sollten in der Regel zwischen 8000 und 9000 Wörter beinhalten. Referenzen, sowie etwaige Tabellen oder Figuren sollten im Manuskript sein. Fußnoten sollte möglichst vermieden werden.


Sprache

Alle Einreichungen bei SOCIENCE müssen auf Deutsch sein. Die Annahmeentscheidungen zu den einzelnen Beiträgen beruhen in erster Linie auf dem Inhalt und nicht auf Sprache bzw. Ausdruck.


Quellenangaben und Zitate

Quellenangaben im Text sollten durch den Autor/die Autorin mit dem Erscheinungsjahr in Klammern angeführt werden. Wenn ein Werk von mehr als zwei AutorInnen zitiert wird, ist nur der erste Name des Autors/der Autorin plus 'et al.' anzugeben. Wenn mehr als ein Verweis vom selben Autor / derselben Autorin (desselben AutorInnenteams) aus dem selben Jahr angeführt wird, muss 'a', 'b', 'c' nach dem betreffenden Jahr hinzugefügt werden.

Die Liste der Referenzen sollten die Namen aller AutorInnen in alphabetischer Reihenfolge enthalten. Wann immer möglich, sollten URLs für die verwendeten Referenzen zur Verfügung gestellt werden.
